Kylie asked, "How do you become free from sin?"
Precious has already answered, saying that you must accept Jesus as your Lord, Savior, and Friend.
This is true, because without accepting Jesus, there is no way to be free from sin.
First, you should truly have the desire to seek a personal relationship with God. Without having the desire, many obstacles will be hard.
Then, you should repent of all sins, not leaving any single one alone, because no sin is too little. And they should forsake their old ways, and surrender their life to God. Make yourself dead to sin, meaning that you don't indulge in immoral activities anymore. "So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:11)

Pray for God's grace to overcome sin and temptations. Be careful to stay away from things that seem tempting. Don't open yourself up to temptations. Yes, the devil will tempt you, but you also must avoid temptations. A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian. Be prayerful, because there are times that you might want to avoid sin, but you keep falling. So you must "watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Mark 14:38)
Build yourself up by reading the Bible, listening to Christian music that builds you up, and fellowship with Christians. When being with genuine Christians, it will be easier to build yourself up. They can discuss with you about problems. It's always great to have a friend that you can trust to talk about problems. Encourage each other in Christ.
And last of all, you must realize that God is always there to help. You can't do anything without His Help. So, pray for His strength to build you up, to become less vulnerable to temptations.
May God strengthen you on your path to deliverance in Jesus name. Amen.
