Sarah looks at you for a long moment and answers, “I’m not a Christian.” Your stomach drops at the outright rejection. You had prayed for God to give you courage just to ask her, but maybe it was too much to wish she would say yes...
You decide to wait a couple of days to talk about God with Sarah. Meanwhile, you continue to eat with her at lunch. Your youth pastor continues to encourage everyone to invite friends. Finally, you ask her.
Sarah looks at you for a long moment and answers, “I’m not a Christian.” Your stomach drops at the outright rejection. You had prayed for God to give you courage just to ask her, but maybe it was too much to wish she would say yes... You firmly tell her that the bands she likes clash with God’s standards. She is a bit put off, and asks you if you’re a Christian. You reply yes. She nods, and continues to eat. ...Awkward. After lunch finishes, she quickly leaves the table without waiting for you. You work up the courage to talk to the girl. “Hey”. Her eyes widen in slight surprise, and she nods. “Hey.” You introduce yourself, and she replies that her name is Sarah. Okay, so far so good. “You new here?” she asks. You reply yes, and she shrugs, “Figures. If you weren’t new, you wouldn’t bother.” She laughs it off, so you do too. But you keep that thought at the back of your mind. If you are new to The Real World, please read "The Real World: New Kid" first. You decline the guy's request and head towards the girl's table. As you near the table, you're starting to wonder if you should have just done that... Welcome to The Real World! The rules are simple: You are pulled into a world where you can really think about your choices before you make them. Read a scenario, and choose an option. The poll will close after two weeks on Thursday. With the majority’s vote, the adventure will continue until we reach a conclusion. |
