We Christians must not let our lives be polluted. We must stand firm in God. We must understand that salvation isn't negotiable. It's either we have it or we don't.
As a Christian, you can't let oil pollute your life. When hot oil and water are together, sparks fly. Christians are water, pure in heart and refreshing. Meanwhile, unbelievers have the characteristics of oil; greasy and full of impurity. There's no "in the middle" when it comes to salvation. God has not appointed us onto wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Many people decide not to take salvation because they want to enjoy life first. However, in salvation, there's pure enjoyment.

Though many may persecute you, God will pay you back with blessings. It's better to serve God now than gain the whole world and lose your soul.
So stand firmly as water.
When Jesus was on Earth, people knew there was something different about Him. He didn't fit in with the rest. We should always yearn to be like Jesus, and show the world that oil and water don't mix. We should be different in our everything. We should WATCH our:
Words: What language do you use? Do you curse and make crude jokes? Are you respectful when talking to people, regardless of age?
Actions: Do your actions reflect Jesus? When people are involved in activities contrary to God's will, do you join in? Or do you choose to be different?
Thoughts: What thoughts do you have? Remember, all things start from the thoughts. Whether you keep or reject a thought determines your state. As Christians, one must remember Philippians 4 verse 8. Do you think on things lovely, pure and honest?
Character: Temper, personality, disposition...how do you behave? Are you respectful to people? Like John Wooden says: "The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching." How do you behave when nobody is looking? Is your claim to be a Christian valid, or is it just for show to please your elders?
Habits: What habit do you have? Are there any addictions you still have?
Wait. Don't keep scrolling. Go back up, and truly think about these things. Are you oil or water? Oil is full of grease and dirt, while water is pure. And remember, oil and water can not mix, so it isn't possible to be a mix of both.
Christians are different. As said in 1 Peter 2:9, we are "...a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
God has called us out for a purpose. We are here for a reason. We shouldn't be mistaken for those of the world.
We are different.
