Hands of God is one of the ah-mazing songs from Francesca Battistelli's recent album, If We're Honest. I'm a bit late about getting to know it, but I encourage you to listen to it. I pray God will minister to you in the way He chooses to. Amen.
As Christians, we are to reflect God and be holy. However, we sometimes mistake this concept to mean that we can never be vulnerable. We each clam up about our struggles, and wonder why it seems like we’re the only ones having problems. But that’s not true, everyone has struggles, because we’re simply human. But we’re all concerned with appearing flawless, that we create a bubble that no one can penetrate.

Nevertheless, this song reminds us that we don’t need to be perfect, because God is with us. And not only that, we can remind others about that too. As the Church, we need to be in unity and be the face of love.
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to be the hand that reaches out to help each other in a time of need. For me, when I’m facing spiritual struggles, it helps to know that there will be someone to just listen and be there. It feels awesome to rant sometimes, and stop “trying to hide that I’m only human”. And on the flip side, I’ll need to be that hand sometimes. I’ll need to be the shoulder that for someone to cry on at times.
But why should I do this, out of obligation?
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12:
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
I believe the verses speak for themselves. And please note, this love should not be prevalent in only the Church. We should do so to everyone we meet.
We can show the love of God through our actions. Encourage someone that feels helpless. Ask God to use you to be His hands.
Lastly, to anyone that is struggling with something, be it sin, family issues, financial issues, the list goes on: remember that God is with you. He will be with you no matter what, never forget that.

~ I hope you know, to me, you are the hands of God. ~
